Proteomics platform

The study of the proteome, or “proteomics” can be defined as the large-scale study of the properties of all proteins expressed by a genome. As a product of the gene expression, proteins lead most of the reactions in the cell.

The identification of these proteins, their function, their structure, and their interactions with other proteins and/or molecules makes it possible to understand the cellular mechanisms of organisms subjected to special conditions. They provide essential information on the regulation processes of the metabolism in general. Proteomics, genomics and metabolomics are fast-growing technologies. This technique is used in clinical medicine, agronomy, fundamental biology, phytopathology, and so on.

The platform aims to enable the analysis of complex protein solutions, the comparison of proteomes under various conditions or treatments applied to the organism studied, and the identification of proteins that are differentially expressed.
