Molecular biology

 

Laboratory composed of, among other items, various types of PCR machines, multiple electrophoresis instrumentations for nucleic acids on horizontal and vertical gels, a chemiluminescence, phosphorescence, fluorescence and visible UV imaging system, an automatic sequencer, real-time PCR, micro-array reader.

 

Microscopy

 

Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope, phase contrast microscopes with cameras and equipment for working in epifluorescence, reverse microscopes, binocular microscopes.

 

Microbiology

 

P2 microbiology laboratory equipped with laminar flow hood, ovens, autoclave, incubators, etc., mycology laboratory.

 

Field

 

A large range of field equipment, including weather stations, water level recorders, rainfall recorders, automatic samplers, piezographs, suction cups, tensiometers, permanent ground humidity measurement probes, sampling bottles, illuminometer, portable aerosol spectrometer, three field vehicles, etc.

 

Growing chambers

 

• Cellular growing unit, e.g. for Caco-2 cell lines
• Growing unit for micro-algae
• In-vitro growing unit composed of a culture medium preparation room, a transplantation room equipped with four working places under sterile conditions
• Set of ten phytotronic chambers with temperature and light control, one air-conditioned growing room with controlled light brightness,
• Growing unit with confined conditions for genetically modified organisms (micro-organisms and plants: operating license granted in August 2002)
• Fully equipped 120 m2 greenhouse

 

Radioactivity

 

Equipped room dedicated to applications using radioelements, notably including a scintillator.

 

Biogas

 

Installation for evaluating the methane production of various substrates of agricultural origin or from the food industry.
