The Centre de Recherche Public - Gabriel Lippmann, a public establishment for applied scientific research and technology transfer, has an opening on a permanent contract basis for its department "Science and Analysis of Materials" (SAM) that focuses in the following fields: characterization of materials, surface treatment and thin films, instrumental developments, nanotechnologies and nanomaterials for:

 

a project leader in plasma surface treatment (m/f)

 

 

Mission:

 

The successful candidate will have to:

 

- propose, set-up and coordinate R&D projects related to plasma surface treatment;

- actively participate in the execution and smooth running of the R&D projects;

- create contacts and interact with academic partners and research labs with the aim of initiating new collaborations and sustaining existing one;

- communicate on the generated scientific results (conferences, scientific publications, symposium, ….);

- propose and write patent applications;

- write scientific and technical reports and documents.

 

 

Profile:

 

- PhD in physical-chemistry, chemistry or bio-chemistry with a least 7 years of proven experience in the field of plasma surface treatments and scientific project management;

- strong experimental background in interaction plasma-surface and in plasma process technology would be an asset, a scientific knowledge in biotechnology will be considered as a plus;

- demonstrated scientific contributions to high-level science (please provide a list of publication) and PhD student supervision (certificate as HDR is a plus);

- past contribution into National or European projects will be appreciated;

- excellent communication, organizational, flexibility and interpersonal skills with mandatory team-spirit;

- autonomy, creativity toward innovative-research excellence with a sense of tackling random challenges;

- fluency in English (scientific exchanges) is a must, knowledge of French (administrative language) would be an asset.
